Camille wasn't born in a boardroom; it was born in our living room.
It started with a simple problem: Nicole had been learning French for more than a decade to connect with Olivier's French family, but her progress had stalled.
Apps and rote drills were fine for memorising patterns, but they were terrible for helping her express herself in French. She needed nuance, not just conjugation tables.
Olivier, a software engineer, looked to his own family history: his French mother had mastered English through a traditional pen-pal exchange. It worked because it gave her the most precious resource a learner can have: time. Time to craft thoughts, look up idioms, and absorb language that mattered to her life.
Olivier built a prototype to bring that method into the digital age. After six months of using it, Nicole had made huge progress with her French. We realised this wasn't just a fun project — it was an effective and engaging way to learn.
We aren't a venture-backed startup chasing a "quick exit." We are an independent, profitable team with 15 years of experience building digital products at Kabu Creative. We built Camille with the same rigour and security standards we have applied to systems for government departments and technical platforms used by millions.

Our approach to AI is built on three core principles:
AI is a fantastic tool to help you learn faster and more effectively. But it can't do the learning for you — that still comes from the effort and practice you put in yourself.
Your data should always belong to you. We never use it to train or improve AI models.
AI is a powerful tool, but it can also make some rather peculiar mistakes!
That's why you should be in control: if Camille gives you a correction or exercise that doesn't look right, is too hard, or simply feels irrelevant, you can always reject it, removing it from your learning experience.
